I learned that ANZAC is very special to New Zealand and that the soldiers are always remembered.

My best to sentences are: New Zealanders travelled to Gallipoli to help Britain fight a huge war that had started in 1914, World War One lasted until 1918 and was known as the Great War, now it is usually called World War One.
